AB+C at the RTPI Scotland Annual Conference 2025
September 25th 2025

Yesterday, the ab+c team had the opportunity to attend the RTPI Scotland Annual Conference 2025 in Perth, where we contributed to the day’s discussions by sharing insights from Balance and our pilot project with Angus Council. We presented our findings with the aim of highlighting how data and evidence can support more informed, place-based decision-making.
It was inspiring to be part of such a dynamic programme, especially one so focused on the theme “Shaping our future – healthy places and happy planners.”
The emphasis throughout the day on collaboration, cross-sector working, and the link between planning, evidence base, policy impact on our places and public health really resonated with the work we’re doing.
Rowena Statt also shared updates on The Gannochy Trust project that ab+c has been involved with in the local area — another great example of how partnerships and community-focused approaches are helping to deliver more resilient, people-centred places.
The conference offered a valuable platform to connect with other practitioners and reflect on how we can continue to shape places that support wellbeing, sustainability, and local living.
