Clydebank Health and Care Centre

This new £19m health and care centre, proposed on the Queens Quay site in Clydebank will act as a catalyst for significant change in the area.  It will facilitate improvement to the health and wellbeing of the people of Clydebank, bringing services together in a one-stop shop that provides ease of access for patients.  It will also promote cross-discipline working within primary care, with the aim of greater shared knowledge between teams and a more integrated approach to primary care service delivery.

The health and care centre is also a vital element of infrastructure for both the health improvement of the local population and the urban regeneration of Clydebank.  The health and care centre will become the focal point and landmark feature of the masterplan for the Queens Quay site.  This area became a tranche of brownfield land following the demise and demolition of the shipyards in Clydebank.  The investments by West Dunbartonshire Council, NHS and other parties will provide the key to unlock the potential of this site and facilitate its redevelopment.  In doing so it will create a new town centre for Clydebank, with health and well-being at its core.
