The William Quarrier Scottish Epilepsy Centre

The William Quarrier Scottish Epilepsy Centre is the only residential assessment and treatment centre in Scotland for adults with epilepsy.

It has in-patient beds, family accommodation, common areas, outside courtyard, and  patients are able to be continuously remotely monitored from the EEG suite throughout the building and its grounds.

It is integrated with the Institute of Neurological Sciences at the Southern General Hospital and is a centre of excellence for treatment for people with epilepsy.

Built on the site of the old Elderpark Primary School, the building incorporates salvaged stone, terracotta finials and decorative ironwork, which contrast with its wholly modern exterior, with a  large roof overhang and raking laminated timber columns which provide solar control and place-making on St Kenneth Drive.
